UPCOMING ASSIGNMENTS

Work Plans: Work plan #7 is due on Jan. 20th

Culture: Students are studying oceans and explorers.

Reading: Students are finishing studying summarization, text coding, and the reciprocal teaching process using non-fiction text. We are also reading the adventure genre and analyzing how setting affects characters. A reminder that we go to library on Mondays and students should remember to bring their books.

Math Facts: Students are responsible for practicing math facts in all grade levels. We are working on fact retrieval as well as speed. Each student is given a copy of the facts they are to practice to put in their work plan folders in a page protector. They can use a dry erase marker to use the sheet over again until it is mastered. They are also encouraged to bring this home for practice.

NEWS AND DUE DATES

HOMEWORK: It is expected that children bring homework from their work plan home each night if they have not finished their daily goals at school. Please check with your child nightly to see what they have accomplished.

PLANNER: Please remember to sign your child's planner every night.
